About This Place

Nestled in the heart of Denver’s vibrant downtown corridor, Mt Fuji Hibachi & Sushi offers an authentic fusion of Japanese teppanyaki and sushi that delights locals and visitors alike. Specializing in hibachi grill and sushi dishes, this restaurant artfully balances tradition with a lively, contemporary dining experience.

From the first bite, Mt Fuji's menu is a celebration of flavors and textures. The hibachi entrees are a standout, each served with a comforting trio of soup, salad, and steamed rice—with an option to substitute fried rice for a slight upcharge. Imagine savoring the tender Hibachi chicken or the perfectly grilled Hibachi steak, their juices sealed in by expert flame-grilling at your table. For those seeking variety, the hibachi combos like Chicken shrimp or Chicken scallop bring a delightful medley of surf and turf, complemented by fresh vegetables and succulent shrimp appetizer.

Sushi lovers will revel in options like the California Roll, the creative Yolo Roll, or the elegant Sashimi Deluxe, each piece crafted with precision and freshness that shines through every bite. Appetizers such as the Cream Cheese Wonton and Fish Tempura offer a crispy, flavorful start to your meal, while comforting bowls of Miso Soup warm the palate.

Pair your meal with traditional Japanese beverages like Sake or a soothing cup of Green Tea, enhancing the immersive experience. The atmosphere at Mt Fuji Hibachi & Sushi is equally inviting—whether you choose the energetic front-row hibachi grill seats where chefs showcase their culinary flair with entertaining skill, or the quieter front tables for a more intimate, relaxed meal.

Mt Fuji’s commitment to service and ambiance is praised by patrons. Lorenzo R. C. recalls the infectious energy of Chef Jose, whose balance of humor and professionalism turns dining into a memorable event. Families appreciate the thoughtful attention, as Matthew Gilliland shares his delight at how the staff made their toddler feel included and comfortable, adapting their service with warmth and care.

The generous portions and quality ingredients consistently impress diners like Tam Henders, who values Mt Fuji’s superb to-go meals offering more than enough for two, and Ashley Zurita, who was pleasantly surprised by the satisfying size and flavor of her chicken katsu. Stephanie M., a local shopper, commends the restaurant as a hidden gem in a bustling area, highlighting the quick service and inviting environment.

Whether making a night of it with the full hibachi show or enjoying a quiet sushi dinner, Mt Fuji Hibachi & Sushi delivers a culinary journey worth savoring. I've visited this hibachi grill several times and have truly enjoyed the meals. The last visit was no exception. Our chef, Jose, was a real riot. Funny and entertaining, yet professional with his cooking skills. Prices range from 31.99 for chicken and shrimp and go up from there depending on the protein. Salad and soup are included with every meal. They do not have a dessert menu but catered to my nephew because of his birthday, to which I appreciate. We had a party of eleven, and several got separate checks. When our bill came up, we noticed they had a service fee of $14, we assumed it was the tip since it was a large party. We didn't leave an additional tip, so I really hope Jose got a portion of that fee. This location is near the downtown area and in a good central location. We will definitely return.

Located in a shopping center with a Pizza Hut and Wendy's, Mt. Fuji is quite a hidden gem! You can sit at the hibachi grill or the front tables - My family chose the front tables for a quieter, more relaxed experience and to skip the show. The back tables with the hibachi grills are definitely more lively and the traditional vibe, and I'll try that on my next visit. Drinks came very quickly, and the meal portions were HUGE, and also came with soup and a salad. I ordered the combo of the steak/chicken hibachi and had enough leftovers to last 2 additional meals after my visit.

It is on the pricier side, with the steak and shrimp hibachi combo running about $30. But honestly, they do such a great job packaging everything and putting it together for a to-go meal. The food was amazing and super satisfying—definitely enough for two meals! Worth every penny for the quality and the portion size. Definitely would recommend and eat again!

Came here to dine in (Not hibachi) and was pleasantly surprised! I ordered the chicken katsu and it was delicious! It was also a huge portion. All dishes we ordered were great portions for the price we paid.

Great vibe, great staff, great food. I went to Mt. Fuji with my wife and toddler to celebrate a birthday and we had a fantastic time! The staff were very friendly and welcoming to us and made our 2-year old son feel included, including giving him a squirt of lemonade to mimic the sake and adapting their service to his level since some of the fire was a little scary for him. On top of that, the food was really flavorful, well-cooked, and we left with plenty of leftovers to feed us for the week! We will definitely be coming back.

I came here for a Hibachi experience and it was really good. Our chef Jose showed a bunch of tricks and was entertaining throughout the cooking process. He even gave his own sake to taste and really appreciated that! Overall, had a great experience and the food was amazing too.
